Who is Cassidy?

Hi there! My name is Cassidy and I'm a female photographer based out of Terrace BC. My business Golden & Gold Plated Photography, established in January of 2023, has given me the ability to capture amazing galleries in multiple genres of photography. I've been told I bring a fun, creative yet professional environment to my sessions, allowing all clients to feel comfortable and at ease, no matter what. 

MY Story

I'm a lover of all things nature, originally from Smithers BC, I've always found myself drawn to being in the outdoors enjoying the beautiful scenery around us. As a teen I would consistently reach for my digital camera that my mom gifted me for Christmas, taking photos of anything I deemed "edgy" or "artistic"; my mother still has some of my high school captures on her walls at home.


I continued to explore my passion for being behind the camera, but discovered that I in fact also enjoyed being in front of it. Photography classes in high school lead to amazing outlets for creative editing and impromptu shoots with my peers. I was constantly going to my bestfriends house to make her little sister take our "modelling" photos while we posed & giggled. After graduation I moved a whole 2 hours over to the neighbouring town of Terrace, instantly falling in love with the majestic waterfalls, back roads to beautiful places, and mountain tops that rewarded me with 360 degree views. I knew this place was going to be home. I proceeded with my passion for modelling, pursuing the career for a lengthy 7 years, yielding publications, knowledge and a desire to make people feel amazing.


I met my partner 3 years ago, in the process I gained myself two lovely step sons; it was soon clear that being home to participate in all things family was what I wanted more than anything. Finally feeling like I was in a place to grow as an adult and advance my career, I dove into the world of photography.


I created Golden & Gold Plated with the inspiration of two things, I love golden hour more than anything and I grew up with grandparents who owned a local jewelry store. In February of 2023 my business was born! Since then I've been fueling my soul creating beautiful images with so many amazing individuals. Photography has got to be the most rewarding occupation, I love to see humans interact with each other, it's incredible just how much love and beauty there is in this world.


I'm truly lucky enough that my clients trust me to be a part of such a special moment, getting to capture a moment in time will forever be my favourite.
